Privacy Notice

This notice describes information collected through Worcester County Released Inmates, why it is used, and when it may reach another party. By using the site, you accept these practices and the separate policies that govern any service you choose to open.

Information You Submit

Search Terms

A name or location entered in a search box goes to the third-party provider that operates the tool. We do not store or log those query terms on our own system.

Messages

Email and contact-form messages are retained as needed to respond. They are not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law.

Automatic Technical Data

Routine logs and analytics can collect:

  • Internet Protocol address;
  • browser name and version;
  • device type and operating system;
  • pages visited and time spent;
  • the referring page, when supplied; and
  • request dates and timestamps.

Cookies

Cookies help measure how visitors use the site. Browser settings can reject them, although some features may then work differently.

How Information Is Used

Collected information supports these limited operational purposes:

  • Operate the site and maintain performance;
  • send a chosen search to the right partner;
  • understand which pages are useful;
  • diagnose faults and security events; and
  • display advertising that may reflect interests.

Other Websites and Advertising

Links lead to Worcester County records pages, Sheriff and Jail resources, Maryland DPSCS, courts, federal portals, and independent search tools. After a visitor leaves, the destination’s privacy policy controls. Advertising partners may measure activity across sites on their own systems to select ads.

Who May Receive Data

We do not sell personal information. Data may be provided to:

  • search partners that process submitted queries;
  • analytics providers;
  • advertising networks; and
  • law enforcement or another government body responding to a valid legal order.

Security Measures

Reasonable, standard safeguards are used to protect site data. No internet-connected service is immune from every breach, error, or unauthorized act, so we cannot promise perfect security.

Visitors Under Eighteen

This site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. A parent or guardian who believes a minor submitted data may use Contact Us to request deletion.

Your Data Choices

Depending on applicable law and the data involved, you may:

  • Ask for a copy of personal data we hold;
  • request correction of inaccurate information;
  • ask for deletion where applicable; and
  • object to or opt out of certain processing.

Maryland Public Information Act rules in General Provisions Title 4 govern requests to state and local agencies, not private-site data requests under this notice.
